Cinnamon Kofta Kebabs

Cinnamon Kofta Kebabs

Yields 24

  • 1 lb. ground chuck
  • 2 Tbsp grated shallot
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 Tbsp chopped parsley
  • 1⁄2 tsp cumin
  • 1⁄2 tsp allspice
  • 1⁄4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • 1⁄8 tsp pepper
  • 2 Tbsp pine nuts
  • 24 cinnamon sticks

COOK TIME: 20 min

TOTAL TIME: 25 min


Cinnamon Kofta Kebabs

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F.
  2. In a large bowl, combine meat, shallot, garlic, parsley, spices, and pine nuts. Form the
    mixture into torpedo- shaped logs, each about 1 heaping tablespoon.
  3. Poke a cinnamon stick into it and squeeze until the meat covers about a third of the
    cinnamon stick evenly.
  4. Place on a rack set over a baking sheet. Bake for 20 minutes. Serve warm.
