A virtual week-long matchmaking game during Sukkot open to anyone who wants to meet new people and participate in fun challenges, designed to connect Jewish young adults between the ages of 21-39!

Sign up and we’ll match you with a potential partner with whom you will have one day to complete three challenges. It will take no more than one hour to complete all three challenges. Challenges are designed to be a fun way to connect with one another and Sukkot. When you complete and submit your challenges for that day, you will also indicate if you want to continue with your current partner or receive a new match for the following day. Both partners must opt to stay together in order for the match to remain.

Any adult aged 21 to 39 with an adventurous spirit, seeking for human connection, and a taste for competition. Seriouslyeveryone is welcome – of all genders, sexual orientations, race, religious affiliation, or creed. No previous experience required and no entry fee to participate.

  • Daily $100 Cash Prize
    • Each day one of the challenges will be labeled as a cash prize challenge – provide the most creative challenge submission and win $100 USD!
  • Paper Plate Awards & Swag
    • Each day we will also be awarding superlative awards and prizes for stand out challenge submissions.
  • $1,000 Grand Prize
    • Earn 5 points for every challenge submission; With 3 challenges per day over the course of 5 days, earn up to 75 points. Anyone who earns at least 45 points will be eligible to participate in the live grand FiNaile on October 18th and compete for a grant prize of $1,000.

No — while we hope you’ll want to participate fully, we understand that life happens and you may not be able to join us every day. In order to skip a day, please indicate on your challenge submission form that you are taking a break. In order to rejoin the game, simply fill out the form for the day you missed and request a new match.

Without giving too much away, the challenges are a mix of creative tasks, Sukkot-themed activities, and fun ways to get to know your partner. The challenges are designed to surprise and delight, but most of all, to get you out of your quarantine routine to do something fun and different with a new pal!

No. All of the challenges can be completed with materials already in your own home. 

No. We recommend you follow all guidelines regarding social distancing in your local area.

We’ll start with a meeting at the Flagpole (like at summer Camp – where everyone first gathers!) where you’ll get to meet the other contestants. There will be two possible meeting times on Sunday, October 4, 2020 at 2PM and 8PM EDT (New York) to allow people in any time zone to participate.

You’ll miss out on some of the fun, but it won’t preclude you from participating in the rest of the game or winning any of the prizes!

The live finale event taking place on Sunday, October 18th at 12PM EDT (New York) is where contestants compete for the grand prize of $1,000! Anyone who earns at least 45 points, wins a prize challenge, or receives a paper plate (superlative) award will be eligible to win. Everyone else is invited to watch and celebrate the incredible week.

We did our best to make the challenges as inclusive as possible. We encourage you to be free and loose in your interpretations of the challenges and modify it as needed. If you have any questions – message us – we’re here to help!

Absolutely! We will send you a form at the end of each day for you to indicate if you want to stay with your partner!

Yes! We will give you an option every day of the expedition to receive a new match!

Both partners must opt for staying together in order for the match to remain. If either partner requests a new match, both people will be reassigned.

By 4 AM EDT (New York) each you will receive an email with your partner’s email address. It is up to you to reach out and connect with your partner and find a time that is convenient for both of you to complete the challenges together. Be sure to check your emails during the Expedition to ensure you are keeping up to date with all the information!

We hope this doesn’t happen to you, but if it does – you can complete and submit the challenges on your own in order to earn the points for that day. Then make sure to indicate that you want a new match for the following day!

Each day you will need to submit your challenges before 2 AM EDT (New York) of the following day. For example, on Monday, Oct 4th you will receive your match and challenges at 4AM – you will have until 2AM on Tuesday, Oct 5th to submit your challenge form.

Rules

Timeline & Gameplay

  • Registration will close at 11:59 PM EDT (New York) on Wednesday, September 30, 2020.

  • Game begins at the Flagpole Meeting on Sunday, October 4, 2020. Select eithert 2PM or 8PM EDT to attend. This hour-long event will be an opportunity to meet the other contestants!

  • You will receive an email notifying you of your first match on Monday, October 5, 2020 at 4 AM EDT.

  • You will have until 2AM EDT the next day (22 hours) to submit your challenges. 

  • It is up to you to connect with your partner via email and find a time to complete your challenges. 

  • Players will be assigned to a new match each day, unless they indicate otherwise noted on the end of day submission form. 

  • Finale and selection of grand prize winners will take place Sunday, October 18th at 12PM EST (New York).

Guidelines

  • Contestants must be between 21-39 years old.

  • Each player must fill out their own registration form and indicate their match preferences.

  • Prizes will be awarded to the individual winners. 

  • One submission form per person per day. 

  • You must have the permission of everyone in your submissions to share the photo and/or video.

  • Submissions containing materials, references, language or imagery that is deemed to be offensive, homophobic, xenophobic, anti-semitic, harassing, or discriminatory in any manner will not be accepted.

  • Be safe & smart. You must always follow all local laws in your area.

  • None of the challenges require you to break social distancing guidelines – please help save the lives of others by modeling good behavior.

  • Contestants may be removed by the game administrators for violation of the rules.

  • Most important of all, HAVE FUN MEETING YOUR PARTNER(S)!!

Scoring

  • Each challenge is worth 5 points.

  • There will be 3 challenges per day for 5 days, thus an opportunity to earn up to 75 points total.

  • A minimum of 45 points is necessary to qualify for the grand finale to win $1,000.

  • Submissions for each challenge will be scored by a Moishe House staff person. 

  • Moishe House staff and contractors can participate in the Expedition but are not eligible for cash prizes. 

  • Successful submissions of challenges will be notified with an e-mail. Only successful submissions will be counted as completed.

  • Camp Nai Nai Nai and Moishe House are the sole judges in the game and reserve the right to make final decisions regarding scoring, judging, and gameplay.

Flagpole Meeting & Finale

  • We’ll start with a meeting at the Flagpole (like at summer Camp – where everyone first gathers!) where you’ll get to meet the other contestants. 

  • There will be two possible meeting times (2PM and 8PM EDT) on Sunday, October 4, 2020 to allow people in any time zone to participate. 

  • If you can’t attend either of the Flagpole Meetings, no worries, you’ll miss out on some of the fun, but it won’t preclude you from participating in the rest of the game or winning any of the prizes!

  • The Grand finale event will be on Sunday, October 18, 2020 at 12PM EDT (New York) where contestants compete for the grand prize of $1,000! Anyone who earns at least 45 points, or wins a prize challenge, or earns a paper plate (superlative) award will be eligible to win. Everyone else is invited to watch the finale on Facebook Live and celebrate the incredible week.

Prizes

  • Prizes will be won throughout the week, including daily $100 cash prizes, and the final grand prize will be announced at the Finale – $1,000 for the top two contestants.

  • “Cash” prizes will be processed as direct deposits, electronic transfers, or international wires. Moishe House and Camp Nai Nai Nai are not responsible for any bank fees or exchange rate differences incurred by the recipient.

     

  • Prizes and winnings may be taxed in your area. Moishe House and Camp Nai Nai Nai are not responsible for any taxes imposed on prize winnings or rewards.

  • All proper tax and identity documentation must be completed before prizes will be distributed.

  • You must be over the age of 21 to claim and redeem prizes.

  • Prizes must be redeemed by October 31, 2020 or forfeited. Prizes are not transferable.
