Expedition Maker is a new reality show for Jewish artists, creatives, and innovators. Ten “Chosen Makers” from around the world compete in four back-to-back weekly challenges to win $5,000. Your votes decide who makes it to the finale!


What is Expedition Maker?

10 Chosen Makers compete in four back-to-back weekly challenges inspired by a Jewish holiday or that week’s Torah portion.

You vote for your favorite makers each week, deciding who wins immunity and who is eliminated.

Each Sunday, join the live Playshop & Episode Watch Party with the Chosen Makers and fellow fans.

Finalist Makers compete in the grand finale where judges select the Grand Makher and win $5,000

Rebecca Guber

Founder & Director

Asylum Arts

Rebecca Guber is the Director and Founder of Asylum Arts, a global network of 700 Jewish artists from 29 countries. She was previously the co-Founder and Director of the Six Points Fellowship. Rebecca has built a community of artists exploring Jewish ideas and identity through fellowship commissions for new work, grants, international retreats, and professional development.

Yoshi Silverstein

Founder & Executive Director

Mitsui Collective

Yoshi Silverstein (he/him) is Founder and Executive Director of Mitsui Collective, which builds resilient community through embodied Jewish practice and racial equity. He is also Cleveland community organizer for Edot: The Midwest Regional Jewish Diversity Collaborative, a cohort six Schusterman Fellow, and is part of M² Institute for Experiential Jewish Education’s inaugural Jewish Pedagogies Circle.

Adina Polen

Founder & Executive Director

Atiq: Jewish Maker Institute

Adina Polen is the Founder and Executive Director of Atiq: Jewish Maker Institute, an applied arts yeshiva based in Berkeley, CA. Steeped in the do-it-yourself ethos of the Havurah movement and the teachings of Hasidut from her earliest days, she believes that multi-sensory opportunities for meaning-making sustain us as individuals, and strengthen our communities.


  • Talented Jewish young adults ages 21-39 with expertise in a visual art form and a desire to share their unique perspective on Jewish identity with the world.
  • Our esteemed panel of Judges selected the cast of 10 Chosen Makers out of hundreds of applicants based on their artistic skills, camera presence, and demonstrated interest in engaging with Judaism through art.
  • WATCH – Tune in each week to see a new episode of the competition as the Chosen Makers try to DIY their way to the $5,000 grand prize.
  • VOTE – Decide which of the Chosen Maker advance through the competition each week by voting for your favorite Makers!
  • MAKE – Participate in the Live Maker Playshops each Sunday at 1PM EST to learn a new DIY skill taught by one of the Chosen Makers and meet fellow audience members while collaborating on group projects. 
  • DISCUSS – Join the Expedition Facebook Group to see behind the scenes videos, discuss the Maker competition with other fans, be part of the growing online community!
